We're the Orbit Exploration rocketry team — we design, build, and fly high-power sounding rockets, and we're only getting started.
Founded in 2025, Orbit Exploration set out to prove that anyone can design, build, and fly at the highest level. Monarch, our most recent sounding rocket, flew twice and won the Spirit Bear Award at our first Launch Canada competition with Mach 2 speed and 24,000 feet.
The efforts of a year since our founding brought us to heights only made possible by the unwavering devotion of our team and support from our sponsors. Not only did we fly Monarch twice and win the Spirit Bear award at our Launch Canada debut, but realizing our ambitions proved the capability of independant rocketry teams to fly rockets on par with universities. Our entire first year lead up to this moment, which has now become a stepping stone for something even greater.
